We do not accept owner-surrender dogs.

In loving memory of our best friends

Gigi

We mourn the tragic death of our beloved Gigi. She was killed by a mountain lion while being walked late at night by the owners Father’s. Gigi was literally one of the sweetest dogs one could ever meet. She greeted everyone with love and kisses

We recently rescued her from the Bakersfield Animal Shelter after she was found as a stray. We love and miss her dearly.

Smokey
We honor the life of our beloved Smokey. He was one of our very first dogs we rescued when we started our rescue. He was surrendered to the high kill San Bernardino Animal Shelter

Smokey remained in our care for close to two years prior to being adopted. He lived the final four years of his life in a loving home. He is missed terribly. He was such an amazing dog.
Hope

Hope was found as a stray in San Bernardino weighing a mere 37 pounds. Every bone on her precious body was showing. She could hardly walk and was almost completely blind from cataracts.

Upon rescuing her, we admitted her to a hospital where we learned she was diabetic. She stayed in the hospital for two weeks, each day she became stronger as she was treated with insulin.

We eventually brought her home and continued to increase her insulin which caused her to begin to gain weight. Once Hope was a healthy weight, she underwent surgery to remove her cataracts which restored her eyesight.

After a year and a half in our care and 25 pounds later, Hope was adopted by a wonderful family. Hope became a loving member of their family. She faced numerous medical challenges.

Hope recently suffered a massive stroke and passed away two and a half years after having been adopted. She was approximately 13 years old.

Hope was loved by everybody and is deeply, deeply missed.

Emma

Emma spent most of her life being used for backyard breeding. As she aged, her owners abandoned her in Kern County due to a large mass on her abdomen.

We rescued her and she received treatment for her growth mass and neglected dental care. She spent a year and a half in our care prior to being adopted.

Eight months later, at 11 years old, Emma became extremely ill as cancer had spread throughout her body.

Emma was truly a blessing to our rescue. She was one of the most kind-hearted dogs we've had the honor of knowing. She is missed beyond belief.
